Clapham Extension and Refurbishment

In Two phases, we re-ordered and refurbished the living space of this unique detached period property in Clapham.

Central to the brief was allowing improved wheelchair access for a close family member, to all the communal areas which were being knocked together but on different levels. We worked with the client to ‘Design & Build’ a new kitchen and living space. The Client had a vision of using the space for events, conferences and whilst desiring to continue to offer hospitality to the extended family. Extensive work went into ensuring every detail was carefully thought through, and a multi-use space was created that the client was truly delighted with.

A full mezzanine was added to the living space, adjacent to the new kitchen and utility room. This provided the house with a further guest bedroom with an en-suite. Walk-on Glass panels were added to the floor to allow natural light to pass from two new large rooflights in the bedroom to the room below.
