Hammersmith Extension and Refurbishment

Our Clients commissioned a pre-works package as part of a ‘Design & Build’ contract. We helped them come up with a design to completely re-order, extend and refurbish this Ground floor mansion flat on a prestigious road in Hammersmith. Installation of a green roof to the rear extensions around substantial flat roof lights softened the visual impact of the works for the upstairs neighbours.

Moving away from the typical large open planned rear extension, the client wanted something more unique as their family home, whilst adding a further bedroom to the property. Extending both sides, and to the property boundary within the side return and moving the kitchen into a more central location within the flat, allowed the creation of a small intimate courtyard, accessed from two bedrooms as well as the generous bright living space. Babbage Construction and the clients were very pleased with the results.
